Full-Time Medical Assistant (Pediatrics)

Full job description:

ROCKSTAR Medical Assistant Needed- to join our team!

• Welcomes patient(s) in a friendly and welcoming manner, while preparing patient(s) for visit.
• Takes vital signs, performs all ancillary tests, and obtains history from patient(s).
• Has Active patient care experiences with children of all ages.
• Collects, runs, and sends lab work.
• Administers VFC & private injections to infants, children, and teens.
• Obtains PKU’s and other tests via heel/finger stick capillary blood draw.
• Records information accurately into EMR.
• Maintains supplies, cleans rooms and equipment, and stocks rooms with required supplies.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Assists in maintaining a neat, clean and orderly appearance in the lobby and overall office throughout the day.
• Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind with all patients, visitors, the public and all colleagues.
• Attends staff meetings as required.
• Becomes proficient in clinic systems and procedures, and maintains knowledge in all policies, practices and procedures.
• Maintains certifications per state guidelines.
• Follows all OSHA standards, policies and procedures.
• Follows all HIPAA standards, policies and procedures.

Minimum Education/Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) or equivalent experience preferred

Preferred Education/Experience:

• Prior experience in Family or Pediatrics preferred
• Bilingual a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Monday - Friday
• Sunday mornings as needed

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
