Medical Assistant

Overview:

Pediatric Associates of Jacksonville is a premier pediatric practice in northeast FL devoted to improving the lives of children and their families through an integrative approach to healthcare. We need additional Medical Assistants for our growing practice who are dedicated to our patient-centered culture.

A medical assistant certificate is not required for this position.

Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:

Our MAs perform a multitude of patient intake and basic clinical work such as:

• Recording vital signs
• Preparing patients for exams
• Collecting and preparing lab specimens
• Performing basic lab tests
• Sterilizing medical equipment and other patient support work
• Familiarity with EMR system is a plus
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral) and enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• $15.00 - $20.00 per hour according to experience

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift Monday - Friday
• Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Rotating Schedule)

Education:

• Bachelors degree in a health related field

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
