Pediatric Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our small NP-owned pediatric practice in Baltimore. The ideal candidate will be proficient in triaging patients, documenting data in the electronic chart/EHR and providing compassionate care to our pediatric patients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently. The medical assistant in this role will be passionate about working with pediatric patients and will enjoy a collaborative work environment where they feel like a valued team member.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

• Gathers and documents brief history and chief complaint in the electronic health record/EMR.
• Performs routine clinic testing, including but not limited to: urinalysis, vision testing, hearing screening, height, weight, temperature, pulse and blood pressure and documents results.
• Assists provider with procedures, including minor surgical procedures.
• Exhibits compassion and empathy for all patients and families.
• Performs routine cleaning and disinfection of care environment. Performs high level disinfection of equipment instruments per office protocol.
• Maintains necessary supplies in clinical area.
• Documents immunizations and tests performed in the patient’s electronic health record.
• Maintains immunization and medical supplies inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job details:

• We are looking for a full-time employee who can cover 8 A.M. - 4 P.M. Monday - Friday with some flexibility of working till 6 P.M.
• $17-18/hr
• Be able to start ASAP
